As irreverent as it is inspirational, the endearingly eclectic Yaxley Festival is one of the UK’s most exciting goodwill-powered family entertainment events.

Truly an event that deﬁes categorisation, the madcap mashup of culture, community, heritage and sports lures tens of thousands of visitors for an unforgettable weekend in the green heart of one the UK’s biggest villages. Powered 100% by volunteers and created by the community, YaxFest punches way above its weight.

Positioned at the place where music festival meets community event, families are treated to a spectacle that embraces people of all ages and attracts visitors from across Greater Peterborough and beyond.

I had a wonderful day representing the County Council at Yaxley Festival. Cambridgeshire is a big county and places like Yaxley don’t get enough attention - it’s my second visit since being Chair, and I hope to come back many times. No one does community better than Yaxley
